Every session is applied directly to your own enterprise. Stepping In is a 10-week structured leadership programme for next-generation family business members. Every session is applied directly to the participant's own family enterprise; not a case study, not a classroom exercise. It covers six stages; Self, System, Credibility, Entrepreneurship, Ownership, and Stewardship; and participants leave with real frameworks they can implement in their business immediately.
Next-generation family business members who are deciding whether to join their family enterprise, recently inducted and looking for structure, or preparing to take on more responsibility. It is for people who want to earn their place; not just inherit it.
Dr. Nupur Pavan Bang leads every session personally. She is one of India's foremost scholars and practitioners in family business; with 25 years of research, teaching, and advisory experience at ISB and through Bodhi Advisory and Nurturing Group. Gyan Vardhan Gupta is the founder and co-designed the programme from his lived experience as a next-generation family business member and is actively involved throughout.
Most leadership programmes teach you how to run a business in general. Stepping In teaches you how to step into one that already exists; with all the history, relationships, and complexity that come with it. Every session is built around a real case study which you can translate and learn to apply to your own business.
Each session is three hours. It combines a case discussion grounded in real Indian or global family business situations, a framework or toolkit applied directly to your own enterprise, and group discussion with your peer cohort.
Sunday sessions are community and partnership events; designed to complement the Thursday curriculum with broader exposure, guest interactions, and peer bonding outside the formal session structure. Details are shared with confirmed participants.
Throughout the programme participants interact with a curated group of practitioners; family business leaders, independent directors, governance professionals, investors, and next-gen members from prominent enterprises. These are not keynote speakers; they are structured conversations built around participant questions.
